Maui Dramatic Scenery

Maui is the one of the largest island, second to be precise, in the chain of Hawaiian Islands. It is also ranked first in the hearts and souls of the lucky travelers who visit here. Maui is easily the best island in the whole world. It is nothing short of a paradise full of excitement, adventure, history and beauty. It was recently named the “Best Island in the Whole World” for an impressive 12th straight year in the Conde Nast Traveler poll, defeating Bali, Bermuda, and Mykonos in Greece.

Pleasing about 2.5 million visitors every year, Maui is the second-most visited Hawaiian Island, behind Oahu.

Maui is simply mesmerizing. On the island, there are hundreds of magical things to see and enjoy. You can literally chase rainbows and shower under waterfalls. You can watch amazing sunsets from miles and miles long beaches or forget everyting while listening to the local bands playing their ukuleles while a gorgeous hula dancer with a plumeria placed behing her ear dances to its rhythm. You can visit ancient Hawaiian temples or heiaus. You can explore Maui’s whaling history in Lahaina. You can relish macadamia nut-crusted opakapaka, a very delicately flavored pink snapper, while enjoying a lilikoi (yellow passion fruit) margarita.

Maui is the perfect blend of city and country. You’ll find great shopping, dining, & accommodations in Kihei, Wailea, Lahaina, & Kaanapali. Conversely, Hana, Iao Valley, & Makawao offer breath taking scenery and a small country town feel. The Island of Maui is also home to natural wonders like Haleakala, the Road to Hana, world class snorkeling at Molokini, and whale watching, both from the shore and from a boat.

We absolutely love Maui and enjoy visiting the island almost every year. This website is an attempt to bring our copious research and detailed notes to everyone.
